Bold emerging artist Celina Teague produced an exhibition which interpreted some of the most shocking news stories of the last 12 months which was held in August 2015. Unable to tune out the chilling visuals of global atrocities in the news, she was moved to interpret the colourful narratives of world events. While the paintings themselves are graphic, primary coloured and seemingly optimistic compositions decorated with popular iconography and emblems - the messaging is anything but sunny. Teague riffed on hashtag activism, feeling like a new low had been reached. The exhibition and artist was featured on Sky News, London Live, Sunday Times Style, Time Out, The New Statesman and in print and online media with interviews on Elle.com and The Huffington Post.
